Yup, TextPad has been with me ever since I found it about 2-3 years ago. Its the best text editor out there. You can literally make your own syntax hilighting, manage a few files at once, etc. Its awesome and I recommend it for anyone that wants something different for a change. Try it and I think you'll like it.

Same here. When I use Dreamweaver I never use the wysiwyg part of it though. I'm sure I could just get a spiced up notepad with some syntax highlighting, but dreamweaver works fine for me.

Dreamweaver8 is nice...( syntax hightlighting and all ) but my system is pretty old ( even after i've tweaked it ) so the more resources that i have for photoshop the better, i just use notepad (plus i really don't like the design view as they're at best inaccurate with how my css really looks).
Regards,
Kenneth

nah, i think you don't need to be using notepad to be a pro.a lot of people i know that are pro in my eyes, use dreamweaver in code view. myself, i use dreamweaver MX 2004, mainly in code view, and then seeing what my codes do in live preview.

I use Notepad++. Supports many languages and encryption types. It also has the syntax coloring feature which is dead useful. I reccomend it.

Crimson Editor user here. It has syntax highlighting and tabs!!!
I used notepad for around 5 years until I was told of the free open source Crimson Editor. Plus it is free.
As for displaying a Designed in Notepad button to look more pro...hmm, I don't think so.
