New Designs -- Rate and Review Please

Hello

I have recently designed two new layouts, I would like a review and rating. Here they are.

I would like a fair rating out of 10, and possibly a comment on what would make it better.

example:
8/10, make the header smaller

something like that, lol.

hey jaron;

first layout
it's not a band start, but it could use some tweaking. the menu doesn't stick out to me like a menu, it looks like some side information -- it doesn't capture my attention as the main focus. hit is probaby because it's smaller then the logo. you have to make it more atention grabbing.

second layout
it's about photos and print, which makes me think paper and newsprint, which makes me think rough. the ploaroids in the layout work for that, but the rest of the graphics look very computer generated and clash with that concept. the shadowing and glowing make it look very filtered and cheap. turn it more grungy.

Pixablue: 7/10

I've never been a fan of pixel fonts. I wish it was a fad that would simply go away. Too small and hard to read. Also, small black text on dark blue background is a strain.

Other than that, looks great. Clean and professional design and layout.

Outlaw Photos: 8/10

Pixel fonts again. I have no idea why on earth anyone would use them.

Very nice otherwise. Great work.

for when no other font is legible at small sizes.

and i don't know what pixelfonts you're seeing, the only one i could find was on th pixelblue layout for the url. the content is Arial at 8pt.
