  Old  Make Poverty History

Hello all,

I've recently added a 'Make Poverty History' band to my websites.

The gap between the world's rich and poor has never been wider. Malnutrition, AIDS, conflict and illiteracy are a daily reality for millions. But it isn't chance or bad luck that keeps people trapped in bitter, unrelenting poverty. It's man-made factors like a glaringly unjust global trade system, a debt burden so great that it suffocates any chance of recovery and insufficient and ineffective aid.

These people who are suffering need help. The band is on a couple of my websites and will be on all of them soon. I suggest that you all take a minute to click on the band and do what you can to help. You can make a difference. I hope you all understand that we are all very fortunate to have what we have, others are not so lucky.

If you have a website please add the band, here is the code:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.makepovertyhistory.org/whiteband_small_right.js"> </script><noscript><a href="http://www.makepovertyhistory.org/"> http://www.makepovertyhistory.org</a></noscript>
Thanks guys and girls, please do what you can.
Gareth.

I have used the band in the past (it came to light a year ago), it fits nicely on the page and shows your support well It is a very good cause.

Even though this band may seem old hat, it is needed now more than ever - to keep awareness sustained.

I intend to have it on my new site.

Putting it there doesn't really show your support... Unless you donated, it doesn't show much.

If I would have a site that's worth viewing, I would add it. I had it a while ago, and in a few days I think I'm gonna put it on a new site. The band is neat, but how much I would like to help the poor, I hate bthe emails. There have been times I get five a week, now I get about two.

But you are also giving other people a chance to help. You are also spreading awareness, so keep your negative comments to yourself.

You place it on your site to get the word out to more people who visit your site. Then hopefully they'll click it along with yourself to donate! Gareth and I talked about this on MSN a while ago and im also using it on my site ! Great idea, it should be used on TF as well .
