Alternative to AdSense

Hi All,

Unfortunately AdSense declined me b/c of my site having e-books only for adults.

Can anyone recommend an alternative to AdSense?

ad sense is pretty useless for making money i dont know of any other sites though

just send emails out to other websites of the same gengre as yours, and ask them to pay directly for say...a month of their banner being shown in turn on a rotator.

and Ste is right, Adsense is pointless...you get virtually no money, unless people do alot of clicking...and how often is that, eh?

and if that dosnt work you can always search google for some or something.

One of my friends owns a few anime sites(1 banner, 3 sites) and pulls in over $200/mo on average in adsense, so it can be done.

How you can say that I don’t know. I myself am currently making a living off adsense + a few other similar programmes. I also know people how are making $1000+ a DAY with adsense alone. Just because something doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean that it won’t work for everyone.

Exoticpublishing, check out http://kanoodle.com/about/partner.cool . They are the only contextual advertising programme that allows adult websites. I am currently using them on one of my adult websites and I am not doing to badly.

Exoticpublishing, I forgot to mention that both msn and yahoo are both working on a contextual advertising programme. Both are set for realise pretty soon as far as I know. Weather they will be willing to allow adult advertisers or not is another story though. Good luck with your hunt.

Edit: You may also want to check out www.targetpoint.com, they also allow adult websites. I don't have any experience with them yet, but i will let you know in a few days.

I'm sure it's quite possible to generate that amount of money...but lets be realistic here. To make $1000/day on adsense is very rare and we're talking about a site with incredible traffic, something like whatsmyip.com in size. No one on this forum will ever come close to pulling that amount.

One of my favourite things about making money from contextual advertising programmes (like adsense) is that you can give a pretty accurate guess at how much money you would be making with X amount of traffic. You just have the use the eCPM that adsense generates and x that by X amount of traffic.

Lets say that you have an eCPM of $1.00. (this is quite a reasonable amount IMO, I usually get a eCPM closer to $2.00)

Lets say you get 50,000 page impressions per day. (this is obviously quite a lot, but by no means inpossible.)

You would be making $50 a day straight up.
That’s $1,500 a month from just adsense. (not to mention affiliate sales, website sales etc.)

Now lets say you plug that money back into the site.

This month you get 100,000 page impressions per day.

$100 a day.
$3000 a month.

Repeat this process a few times.
Now do the same thing with 10 other website.

Obviously these figures are very rough, and are maybe slightly unrealistic… but you get the basic idea.

I like to aim high and be optimistic.
