I use pspad and sometimes aptana plugin for eclipse (but there's also a standalone version)

i prefer dreamweaver, notepad2 but i have also tried firstpage and homesite. i think it comes down what you're comfortable with, and what enhances your work flow.

Notepad++ is a sweet program. It's compact, has tabs unlike Notepad, color-coding, etc. It's just a piece of cherry pie. PHP Designer 2005 was not too bad when I was using it, but it was too bulky for my liking.

I use Wordpad at the moment, but I think I'll give Notepad++ a try.
