The metal surrounding parts, renders and banner are all from world of warcraft wallpapers... there should be no problem since these are freeware.

Sent in an e-mail to Blizzard today. If ANY part of their designs are used in a product that is sold without their acknowledgement, the party in question can be prosecuted.
However, if the images are from the Fan Site Kit, then they have already given permission to the user. The wallpaper is not apart of this Kit.
This is straight from the horses mouth. Therefore, the design that I just bought is completely worthless. Not sure what to do here Netspiel.
I am not planning on using this design now.

Yep, I'm sure there arent going to be any such issues, Blizzard is very supportive of its fan sites, and I've seen a lot of other WoW skins at places such as www.theskinnery.com so it really shouldnt be a problem.

Yes supportive of their fan sites but not of the fact that they are using their designers work and reselling it. If i was a designer and i made a website using those parts and then used it for my own personal development then its fine. But if i was to create it based of all their elements and then sell it then i would face issues.
Its different like i said once again read their policy.

Well, what should I do since I bought the skin. I doubt I am going to get a refund. I do not plan on using the work now.
Any suggestions?

I would find a way to contact Blizzard and make sure its okay with them, if it is I don't know if you still want to use it or sell it, but if you don't want the hassle, ask for a refund.

Well you cant get a refund. You should have asked the questions before you bought the template unless adam is nice and gives you your money back.
