Well, it doesnt effect this contest at all though.

Fake account signups, duplicate e-mails and the like will NOT be tolerated, anyone caught doing this to increase their lead will be banned from talkfreelance.com for life.

Accounts that are being registered and not posted on give me the clear indication that the user was just refered here so their friend would win money. It shows me that the user has no interest in the forum and this is no help at all to the community.

This contest is supposed to benefit the community. I am sure everyone wants what is best for the community and has been refering genuinly interested parties anyway

When it comes to deciding who has the most referals....if someone has refered 10 people who have not posted and someone else has 9 people who have posted.....the person with 9 people will win.

edit: Yup. Must have been added recently..... Should have had it in the rules. Or ran the contest differntly, like the member to get the most members to post or something. Atleast it was clear.

No i have counted ALL referals. Once the deadline has passed i will count up the GOOD referals and announce a winner.

Crappy to add rules once you posted the thread.. that sucks..

The rules have not been added. In the original thread i state that "fake signups and the like" will not be tolerated. This competition was ment to improve the community, it hasn't really done this because of poor referals.

Midway through the competition i mentioned GOOD referals will be noted.

If people put the community before the money then they wouldn't have anything to worry about
