I like it as well... although the light blue writing is a little light and hard to read on the white background.

I didn't see the original spalsh, this one looks fairly decent although i'm unsure what the purpose of it actually is? If there even is one. I hate the concept of splash pages, unless they are there to be useful then they're pointless.
It's not as if you're activly advertising your site or except loads of visitors to be interested in your product, without even knowing about it, right? I wouldn't waste so much time worrying about a splash, just get the site design done!
