UNIQUE oppertunity for talented designers

Hello,


My name is Rory Rosen, I am a young, forward thinking student, who is looking for a couple of talented designers interested in working for a company I am starting setting up.


Background:


I was born in South Africa, which, as the name would have you believe is on the southern tip of Africa. I understand first hand the realities for the average man or woman living in Africa and believe that the poverty Africa is experiencing can only be solved through economic development and education.


Goal:


I want to set up a clothing company that supports various projects in the “third world.” The business model wouldn't be about how much money we can make, but how much money we can donate. I would like to see more than 50% of profits going directly to worthy causes.


Where you come in:


I need a group of forward thinking and proactive graphic designers to help design the clothing graphics. They should not be in this for money, but for the sake of making a difference. They should be able to reflect the different causes in the designs and be creative, as well as visionary. I won't be able to pay much in the beginning as I'm not trying to make a traditional business out of this. Of course if we make money the designers will be the first people compensated. This is about doing something that has never been done before and giving Africa a leg up. I am unaware of any business that runs on this model.


I don't know how far we will go, but I believe that this is a cause that is worthy of our time. I hope I have convinced a few people to join me for a ride that could enrich lives.

No, what cause. Not the designers, like what charity organization?

Sorry mate, misread your post. The majority will go towards educational initiatives and a smaller percentage towards conservation.

Do you plan on putting this other 50% into charities or the company itself become a charity, if you just plan on re-investing it into another charity like oxfam they were warned by watchdog and trading standards for only redepositing 30p from every pound back into the cause, dunno what happened after that.

Is this still happening?
