Depends on amount of work, and how it looks. But I probably will never buy a .psd however. >_>

I wouldn't buy a .psd for a big amount of money. Surely under the 40 bucks or something

getting warmer...
I can confirm Jon's sentiments. Designers who charge US$3,000.00-5,000.00 do exist. I've paid them, been paid for them, and I know others who do the same. Not only that, but when you combine it with a full service solution (e.g. the web development) and sell it to someone with money to burn (e.g. government organizations) you can get well into the US$100,000.00 price range and above.
These are quality designs, and medium-large size businesses, mind you.
Much different than vB skins, wp themes, etc. aimed at non-profit, individuals, and small businesses.

Yeah, maximum $250. For "basic" design, $50.
