What CMS is suitable?
I recently got this design coded in preparation for a project of mine based around World Issues, Politics, and generally helping others out through fund raising and that kind of stuff. It's called The Innocent Mind. Some of you may have heard about it already.
Well, here's a preview of the design (coded), but I was wondering what would be the best CMS to use with it? It's going to have a one-page blog section, the rest are just going to be pages of information, with pages such as the articles page a 'categoried' list of articles, and the videos page the same but with videos.
Can anyone recommend a good CMS for this, and show me where I could get it implemented?
I considered WordPress, but I'm unsure about it.
Please advise
Regards,
Taiyab.

WordPress is excellent, and should do what you need it to.
You can use Pages for all of your non-blog content, and make your "Home" page the front page of your site (rather than your blog).
What are you planning to do that you think might not work so well with WordPress?

I would recommend CMSMS (CMS Made Simple). It's very easy to get your layout working in it and managing pages in it is equally so. For the blog you would need an add-on though, but those are quite simple to install as well.

Drupal is a great platform as a not to complicated CMS, but with the help of available plugins, you can also set a wordpress blog system as CMS

If the blog is *not* going to be your main focus, and you need just a basic CMS, I'd probably go with Chyrp ( http://chyrp.net/).
It's very lightweight and easily customizable. No extra bloatware.

Well, the reason I was having doubts over WordPress because the blog part of it is VERY small, and I don't want the front page to mimick the latest post in the blog either, it should be editable seperately - that's why I had doubts it would suit my need.
I need to be able to easily edit all the pages, and also have a nice little seperate blog page as well which does NOT show it's content on the frontpage, rather everything in the blogging section of the site.
How about for the listing of videos, is there a CMS out there with such add-ons?
I'm looking into the options given by some of you already - thanks for that.

If you wanted to go the wordpress route, it just requires some hacking about with the loop used and you can do pretty much anything.
You can blog to a seperate category and not show this on the main page etc etc
I'm interested to see what else people come up with - expression engine any use?

You can easily set Wordpress to have a page as the homepage, and then you can make a another page called "Blog" that has the blog posts in a category you specify. Requires you making a few pages, but its quite easy.
