hockey.com
it's been 3 grueling months but hockey.com went live today. i was here until 1:30 last night, so this feels damn good!
for those of you who don't know, i'm a full time designer working for hockey.com. it feels funny saying i'm employed by a web site, but it's fun. i worked on everything for this redesign, from web interface, to banner ads, to the default user avatar.
design: me
fron end development: me, mark palmer, george marr
back end: mark petronis, chris asselin, george marr, mark palmer, james cracknell
i don't really know how to describe the site, so i'll just let it speak for itself, it's hockey:
http://www.hockey.com/
newsletter design to come next week.

****, that's nice! Very nice work mate.
I would however put the search bar, user login to the right side though. Or just the search bar.

Very nice however, I would suggest limiting the freespace at the top of the black banner above the text and possibly change the username input design.
These are only small things but bug me since they are at the very top of the design. On the whole great design and great website though. Good Job .

Nice design. It appears you are forcing the 800 res layout a bit. The ad column on the right seems to make the "main" content off-centered in the design. But that's only a minor scratch. Personally, I would make the black space at the top (with the sign in) only as tall as it needs to be and shorten it about 15 pixels.
Overall I think it looks pretty good.

i looked at that, but the menu's only got about half the features we plan to integrate. by the end, those menu bars will be full.
