If I'm to buy it, it will be with someone like Seb, who I trust, or solely on my own. But I assure you, I would take a solid part in it, keep the current management, and pump some extra funds into it. Zee, I am willing to place a serious offer if you could give me a ballpark, and some contact details.
You can reach me on.. lachyg@ me .com.
Cheers

I'll be putting in a bid for outright ownership.
But I'd also be interested in taking on a 33-50% stake in the site depending on the overall price. Anyone interested in partnering up, contact me by PM/MSN.

Zee, is Talkfreelance.com owned by a company? If so, can you provide related details?
If more than one person is going to get actual ownership of the forum I would strongly recommend forming a real business that is privately traded. While this may seem too complicated up front, having actual governing documents at the start will make disputes that may happen later on easier. As it was, people were running the site while Zee owned it, that meant that no one could take another admin to court if they felt they were being ignored. This will not be the case with a business you buy.
If you are not willing to form an actual business, co or partial ownership is probably a bad idea for you.

I love how everyone is saying they are interested. When they see the price they will wet themselves.

But is it worth the price? Think about it, I don't imagine it's worth much, there isn't a huge amount of activity, the forum needs a lot of fixing up, thus, needs a lot of money put back into it. It's not worth how much Zee paid for it + the skin + his time + all the other stuff. It's not worth what the sum of all the parts are, it's worth the current userbase + the revenue.

Very much agreed. Sorry, I do not have a sound knowledge of international structures, however in Australia atleast you would have to business structure of partnership or company. My assumption would be you are entering in to a partnership arrangement yes?
Any potential investors must ensure that everything is above board as you do not want the tax man coming knocking or the arrangment turning sour with no course of action.
At least, research what you are getting in to via the internet. If possible, seek professional legal advice before investing any sizeable amounts of money.
