$0 now. Starting a new forum is hard, but in the end, I feel the stuggle will be more than worth it.

So far I am not investing anything. I am getting a small revenue so far and I don't promote at all (not paid I mean). I hope I'll be able to spend some money on advertising though.

None at all. I should tho, but I get enough jobs that I don't need to advertise it.

The amount of revenue is all down to the amount of clicks i get of my site and others. Say if i get 200 click per day ill get about 32% revenue back to me, but i deduct 1/4 of that for my own spendings.

I'm up to $60/month from text link advertisments, since it's PR6.

This has been a question that I had in my mind for a good while.
Must people that I talk to, says dont waste money advertising. Word of The mouth would come through for you.
Now im having second thoughts, and think about doing a bit of Banner Ads on relevants sites of course.

Nothing, but since my revenue has been so high resently, as soon as I get my google check I will be advertising quite heavily.

As an update .. have started an adwords campaign myself. Now I am putting almost 100 % of the revenue in the promotion, but I hope I'll see some results from this.

I estimate on a new venture in a year it breaks down to about 30-40% on marketing and the rest on investment in improvements and such. The first year or so, looking back at two projects, I only netted about 10%. But when the marketing and investments are done, its always been worth it.
