If Robson wanted everyone to know he likes techo's signature then he was completely entitled (and more than welcome) to post such a message in my thread. Right?
|
Well, It wasn't that important to send a PM to techo regarding his sig...but really, it's not that big of a deal right? I mean, I start so many threads here, I post so much and to get it in the neck for that just seemed a little harsh.
I agree with what you're saying Salathe.

Maybe if you posted in a manner which was not so misleading, Salathe, there would be no issue at all.
As far as "Getting off their high horses and listening" goes, We are the administrators of this forum. We do listen but we do not have to obey or follow, which is something I think you need to take note of. Yes you came off as arrogant and dictating, and yes you should apologise for it as it's not the manner we expect here, especially from someone of your intelligence and grace.
Why don't you post on Yaxay and tell them how to behave properly, because believe me my friend. They need it more. Do your job where it's needed, and not where it's unwanted.

Ok Anthony, seeing as I'm not wanted I'll bid my farewells. Can a member really not try to help out over here?
|
Salathe, you are wanted here, I enjoy reading your threads and i'm sure others do...there is no need to storm out of here because of a disagreement, is there? I've said numerous times in this thread I agree with you. I think most of us do....i'm not sure how we got into this position of arguing.
We're all adults here (I think) so lets get on with it

I think this would be a fair enough time to take this conversation to PM Robson. And this time that is a serious request.
Folks, keep on-topic or chat about whatever you like until the admins say otherwise.
Edit: I'm not trying to get the last word, just requesting that I talk to Robson privately. Anthony, get over yourself because you're not portraying yourself in the best of admin-type ways IN MY OPINION.

I haven't been to Yaxay in about 3 years, so I'm not exactly up to date.
But from what I know, it's been left pretty much unchanged since that time. Except from the update from vB2 to vB3 -
...So from what I've heard, all of the ancient members still hang around there, acting as if they own the place. And it's not as friendly as you'd like it to be.

All the ancient members from yaxay do own the place, well as far as forum permissions go. iNET actually own the place, but that's a whooooooole other ball game. And actually the move from vB2 to vB3 broke many things. Things which we've not been able to re-impliment because of a certain someone not letting us.
I'll be the first to admit that yaxay is "not as friendly as you'd like it to be" and the majority of posts are in our Business Exchange, unfortunately. I can't change anything short of closing those forums down (or the whole site) eventhough I'm "administrator" (for what it's worth) over there.
But, this is not a kick-yaxay-whilst-shes-down thread... is it?

I've got nothing against Yack (they still call it that? I'm SO out of date >.>).
I think most of this thread should be split and dissolved into nothingness. The first couple of posts is all thats needed.
