How could making it harder to get a job just to look cool ever be wisdom? I respect peoples opinions, but I am never afraid to say that I think they are wrong.

And I don't mean with a band-aid or gloves. I mean with suitable and respectable clothing.

Tattoo's aren't always to look cool they're in some cases for deeply personal reasons and deeply emotional reasons and the process is very intimate.

If you can cover up your ink, nobody ever has to know you have any. If I were to walk into a room full of strangers wearing my every day clothes it would be impossible to tell that I have any tattoo's what so ever.

Not everybody walks around with neck / hand / face tattoo's...quite frankly I think hand face and neck tattoo's are utterly disgusting.

I can agree with that. Since I have very little experience with tatoos, I think visible ones. I would have no opposition whatsoever to tatoos that are hidden in normal clothing, since all prospective disadvantages are taken away.

I doubt I will look like a punk. However, they can be removed (Approx 3-4x the tattoo amount.) But yeah, we can all have our own opinions.

A shirt will cover mine up though.

A lot of people share the same thought which is why it helps to illustrate that if they're well thought out, not in stupid places (i.e. nose, neck, face, fingers), they can be tastefully hidden from show.

To me, tattoo's are personal. All of my tattoo's I have because I either feel strongly about what they represent, they have personal meaning to me or are in memory of somebody in my life. I never walk around with them on show, why should I pay the money I pay to let other people appreciate what I have on my skin. They're for me, I just wish most other people shared my views...as a tattoo artist it's hard to accept that sometimes people just want to show off, or look absolutely ridiculous with terrible designs in the most awkward of places.

It's like the old saying goes...."you can't educate pork".

I just don't think I could bring myself to get a permanent tattoo done. I think they look great on certain people, but I just can't help but think "what if I don't like it? I won't be able to get it off now."

Some people that want it probably won't even consider the above, which is fine for them - they should know for sure that they won't regret it. Some people, like Anthony, use tattoos for personal reasons, I have other ways of dealing with personal things - everyone's different and has their own way of doing things, but I'm not against what other people wish to do.
