It depends upon the project you own. Be prepared with your contents and promotion strategy before stepping into it. Bad SEO will lead to penalty.

I'm not sure I understand the question. You want to go into SEO business? Isn't it a big jump from your web design work today (or so I read in your profile).

Anyhow, SEO is all about keywords. It involves aligning the keywords in the pages with what people actually type in search engines. It involves strategically locating the keywords in your website files.

Don't know the market in Germany, but you'll need office equipment and supplies as well - computers, printers, copier, fax and phones, plus paper, pens, desks, trash cans, tape dispensers, hole punchers, calculators, chairs and scanners. Then add on expenses like employee benefits and marketing dollars. Plus a decent Internet connection. Add cleaning expenses and utilities (if they're not included in the rent). Who would be doing the book keeping? Who would set up and maintain your in-house network? Lots of questions!
