i agree with what has been stated in a previous post, seo is very important if you are developing an online business, and there is much to learn if you plan on starting seo, so if you are a small business with just a couple of websites it's better to hire a company that to do it yourself. it's far cheaper than advertising and maybe even more effective.

You can do SEO yourself if you want to invest the time, energy and experimentation with the learning curve. And, you'll have to weigh this against the time, energy and learning curve of actually running your business.

Sorry, if this is not directly relevant to the topic, what sort of SEOs are there and is a budget of $10-20 per month be sufficient as a start to pay for SEO services?

If you want someone that's going to do a good job, you may want to increase your budget, dcadmin. Now as far as types of SEOs, there are people that focus solely on helping you build links, there are people that will help you with your on page SEO stuff. It really depends on what you want to focus on.

What sort of budget am I looking at?

I am targeting about 50,000 traffic per month and my revenue model is solely based on advertising networks like Adsense, Adbrites..

I\m a seo freelancer i do it myself

If you don't know how to do it pay for it it's simple
Without seo i don't see as site very successful ...

20$/month lol made me laugh that's not a budget that's a bad joke
And i bet you are in a very competitive niche and wish rankings for something like realo erstate or flash games

So far I've been doing SEO on my own but I'm considering hiring someone to do it because it takes a lot of time and I'd rather focus on my core business.
