I think they both have their place for business, and this is coming from someone who isn't using her Twitter account as much as she'd like . I just haven't taken the time yet to figure out the engagement aspect of Twitter, yet I hear of many people getting great interaction and traffic from their Twitter efforts.

Both provide an opportunity to show what you've got to offer and create some personality to your profile - another branding platform. Also being able to interact with other people regarding your business in a casual online atmosphere is a great asset, especially when you're working solo.

To sum it up {and note to self}: Facebook and Twitter should both be used as part of a marketing plan to reach different types of potential customers and to create business relationships.

They have different functions. I think that FB is more about communication and twitter's main goal is concentrated on sharing ideas.

i am using both but my opinion is facebook is the best because on facebook you directly interact with people but on twitter you just sharing your idea and thoughts with them....

Hi Readymakers-sales
Those social networks are very different from each other but if I were to choose 1, I would prefer facebook. All the people I know uses facebook and only a few uses twitter. As a designer I can also create a personal portfolio using albums. I just think that facebook is more versatile and you can't argue that people can communicate with facebook, I mean you can just send a message or chat real time..

hmm hard to say which is better. Best to use both sites, double advertising and gaining backlinks. At the same time, you can only work on one of the sites, but before that connect them together.
