 Savings and Investments
I'm the kind of guy that likes to know that my money is safe. Thus I use banks. I have three bank accounts for three purposes and also have a stash pot in my room for all the instant cash that I need...for example when I go to the pub or the club.
One of my accounts is for short term savings (e.g computer parts)
One of my accounts is for larger savings (e.g holidays away, car)
One of my accounts is for the future (as in, when I come of age)
What do you think to this idea, and do you use banks yourself?

I have always had a bank account, but never really used it.
Once I had money, or money was paid into my account, I used to withdraw it and just stash it in a pot in my room, but I found that I would be spending too much of it having it readily available, so I therefore started using my bank account more, and now my savings are doing realy well! :-)

Yeah you do find that. My stash pot is more or less empty, because lets face it it's not cheap going to college.
I'm a killer with my debit card, if I'm online and have it within reach of me I'll just use it till it shrivels up and dies.
Does anybody else have the same problem?

Ah, I Thought we were talking personal, not business here 
I always have a fair sum in savings for all that we need, and of course I have the money coming in from clients.
That is a tip for all you new hosts, always have some money set aside!

Good advice. When I was part owning a hosting company (TheSitePeople.com) we made sure we had enough set aside to cover us for at least 6 months of business if we didn't generate any profit.

Yes, but as we also have a parts shop, that can help keep us afloat. Not that our business is bad

well im not really earning much money atm so i just have one bank account that i use to get my EMA in lol. . . . it never stays in there for long

My EMA lasts me one day. I spend on average around £100 a week at college.
