Old  How to create breathtaking WP themes

I have been using Artisteer for a while now. It allows to create good templates with minimal operating cost. But with the time passing my development knowledge and wisdom grow and just ‘good’ eventually could not satisfy my demand for a superior design, which is on agenda right now. I am looking for the good tool to create breathtaking themes for my personal blog. Any ideas here? I would appreciate any advice. What environment do you guys choose to interact?

All serious designers use photoshop, simple as that.

There are plenty of good tools available nowadays. I mostly used online services for conversion, but those are very limited. For example the file size is fixed and not expandable, unfortunately. I suggest any tool to convert right from PS.

I know these tools, but frankly never experienced before.
My approach is to learn as much as I can and then apply the software.
I have got some good tutorials about WP theme creation and PSD conversion.
This is found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAB5JGbjwAs looks potentially functional. But still hard to say for sure.
