You will love VB man! I can do pretty much anything with it. It may not be as fast as lower level languages, but hey it takes no time to gather the code you need if you use the msdn and google as your primary learning tools. VBforums.com is a great resource, and there's plenty of other sites like that that have helpful people who know a tremendous amount about the language.
