schedule screwing around time into your workflow. for every 2 hour block, i schedule myseld 5-10 minutes to screw around and just give my brain a rest for a minute.

i have a guitar in my office, and a pool table in the next room, so if i'm working away for 2 hours and finally hit that wall where i could be distracted for a few minutes, i just grab a pick, or a cue and dick around for 5-10 minutes, then i get back to work. it's a reward. it's scheduled into my workflow so after a few minutes when my mind has reset, i feel motivated to get back to work and make that break "worth it".

Check out the pomodoro technique on google.

Other tips are you just need to find a zone for you to work and when your in that zone the only thing you are ALLOWED to do is work!

Step 1: Whatever you do, do not install or play World of Warcraft. Or Skyrim.

I'll let you know if I discover any more tips after I get past step 1.
