How much is the online dating site cost?

My partner & I plan to startup a online dating site like match.com, we just started the idea and gather initial infomation and then will hire a freelancer to do that.

Can anyone who has an experience on this know how much does it cost (or in what range?) to create the site like this? And how long does it takes to finish this project in average?

The coding would cost quite a lot depending on the amount of unique features you want on the website, however you can buy a script similar to the match.com for a fraction of the cost.

Once you have the site set up and ready to go, I must warn you it is going to be VERY hard to market and get people to the website. With such big competition, and those websites offer massive comissions to there affiliates to get new members.

No it's both. You need a quality script (unique) with a boatload of features to succeed.

You're probably looking at around $200,000 at the least.
