Good Phones?
I'm looking for a new cell phone and i've been looking around on eBay especially.
My budget is a total of $350 CAD and i'm not looking to spend any more than that.
So far i've been looking at the Sony Ericsson W600:
Anyone got any ideas? I've been thinking about a Samsung slidephone but I haven't seen any good ones yet.
Got any ideas? I want something with a good camera, MP3 player, etc. In other words, a phone that will last me a good 1 1/2 - 2 years.

I've got the W550 model, which is same as W600 without EDGE (or whatever it is). It's the best phone I've ever owned. Great for mp3 and videos. I really recommend this phone.

Unbelievable how much the youth of today is spending on a simple communication device.
I just bought a Nokia 1100 last week for $99 NZD, it's the cheapest phone on the market here in NZ. Doesn't have pxt, camera, video or mp3. But I have a digital camera and computer for taking and sending pictures; video camera and pc for taking and sending video; and an mp3 player for my sounds. I don't see the point in needing something that is going to cost me to send images or video when I can do it for free.

Someone who works with phones a lot tells me that this is probably the best you could get:
Motorola E1000
It may be $10+ more than you wanted to pay, but he says it's well worth it.

I have a Nokia N70, expensive piece of kit but one of the best phones money can buy! The camera is brilliant (2MP, and video has a memory card of 64mb, you can take digital video for about 12 minutes on it). It has built in MP3 player, radio, java games, 3G video calling, voice dialling, even has adobe reader and open office on it.
Now, this phone is sheer brilliance, when I go out i'm always taking videos of my nights and stuff....so many good moments! You can't take a digital camera into a club but you can take a phone

Let's just compare this with a good phone shall we? Say...the Nokia N91...I'm in NZ too, so we'll take NZ prices for this shall we?
Digital Camera 2 Mega Pixels = $300
Video Camera VGA resolution = $550
MP3 Player, 4 GB space = $400
Mobile Phone = $99
Personal Organizer + Address Books etc + Portable Internet (basically, a PDA, that isnt touchscreen) = $500
Computer = Atleast $1000
Subtotal = $2849
Nokia N91 = $1450
Oh and, not to mention, not having to carry ALL of those around with you. Just ONE device that does it all.
'Nuff said.

Dont get the one you have there, yeah it looks great and all..but its so hard to use. When you're listening to MP3's and stuff, it good, but when you dont want to listen to music anymore, its hard to exit out and stuff.
Good luck finding the right one

I would say Nokia 6600 but i don't think it's what your looking for, it's lasted me abut 1 1/2 years, and i use it everyday, texting and calling people.
Like Julian said if you've got a digital camera and an mp3 players what do you need a phone with it all on for?

that has 16mb shared memory, you could fit about two songs on it, else you'd have to pay extra for a memory card.
I like my Orange SPV550, not flashy but it's got alot of good stuff:
Windows smart phone OS
512mb Memory card
mp3 player/mp3 ringtones
Windows Media Player
MSN Messenger
1.3 Mega Pixel Camera
Records Videos (with sound)
LOADS of themes/games/programs available at: http://coolsmartphone.com/
