Most of my paypal transactions are instant, and they don't take too long getting my withdrawls into my bank account either, which is nice. I'm not crazy about the fees, but come on. It's a service! It's a convenience, and they have their own costs to cover. They're a business, not a charity. I'd rather pay the fee and have the money right away, then to have to wait to invoice a client, have them process it, cut the check, mail it, wait for it to get to me, and then wait until I have time to run to the bank. You pay for that convenience. Just like going to a convenience store. Do you 'have' to pay 3 times what a bottle of soda is worth. No. But you do, because it's conveniently right there when you want it. I also personally wouldn't have half of my clients if I didn't accept paypal, including my biggest, because it's the only way they'll pay ... and it's been particularly helpful with working with international clients.

Any type of large business is going to have its share of good feedback and negative feedback. The more customers a company has, the more opportunity for mistakes to be made. I've personally never had any problem with paypal; however, I do think their fees are too high.
