Ok everyone, lets have a good old debate! Time to get some interesting points and opinions across (without resulting to swearing i hope!)
Timothy Mcveigh is probably a good example, mass murderer sentanced to death for his actions (blowing up federal buildings with the intention to kill people) He took away innocent lives purely because he didn't agree with the politics/direction of the government.
Do you think a murderer (whether they killed one person or one hundred) should be sentenced to death as punishment? Or do you think they should just be locked away for life?
I don't agree with the death penalty, i think everyone deserves a second chance at life (even if they have killed innocent people) someone who takes someone elses life is mental in the head, full stop. These people need help and guidance, we are just being criminals ourselves by taking their chance at a decent life away. I agree they should serve a long period of time in prison but they shouldn't be sentenced to death, they should give the chance of a second life and the chance of forgiveness.
