When did you last reformat?
Does anyone here reformat there computer on a regular basis? If so when did you last reformat? I know of one person who does it EVERY month! I've had my computer for 2 years or so and i've never reformatted. What exactly is your reasoning (or any reasoning) behind reformatting?

How2freelance, doesn't antivirus/spyware fix the problems you have? Defrag your computer? I would think reformatting is a last resort, surely? I would never reformat if I REALLY didn'y have to.....
I have 80gbs of data, would be a nightmare to transfer, download all the programs, update windows, patch all my games......

I formatted just the other day, since I finally got my computer back in working order after 3 months of being backwards and forwards.

Antivirus programs have been causing problems on my computer!
I don't know why but many things are not working since I re-installed xp... I think there's something wrong with my copy so I may just 'borrow' my dads XP Proffessional CD for an hour

About a week ago, because I was slowing down the net for my brother everytime I turned on the PC, and so I could install Windows Media Centre instead of plain ol' XP.

I dont remember when I last reformatted but I do know that I have probably done the process about 5 times and I have had my computer for about 3 years.

Wow, a lot of you have reformatted in the last month. I did about 3 weeks ago I think, not sure. But it wasn't long ago at all. I was having the worst problem, mostly unfixable (its tough to explain, so I won't) so it was a last resort for me.
