There is always the risk of adding something like this to the forum, some people will hate it, others won't be fussed. I can say tarun has done a good job and if this was included at the beginning there would not be a problem. I hope you like it.

I like this option being that there are at least 6 "Guests" on at a time... I saw 2 banners for guests... and 1 banner at the bottom for registered members...

There will be no bottom banners. There will be one top banner on the forums. This has to apply to all the users, if it didn't i would have to charge registered members a fee.

Perhaps you could reverse the solution I gave and allow a subscription for people to get additional features and no ads if they subscribe. Let's say if the hosting here permits unlimited email accounts. Maybe if people subscribe and pay so much, they get a free email account, no ads, and other benefits.

Yep, perhaps further down the line some sort of "premium" account could be implemented. This would include no adverts, additional features and the like for a small payment. I have no intention of turning this into dnforum.com though haha! Adverts or premium accounts are the only means of taking this community forward and for now...there will be adverts.

I totally agree...don't go bugging your members with advertisements, but making them viewable to guest, will only make the guest want to join if you can "view with no advertisments". I really don't want this place to turn in to a place like :sign:. It would reallly make me mad. I joined this place because it's different !
Regards,
Remix
ps or atleast add the advertisments when the forums get bigger.

This forum can't get bigger without money and this is something i have a serious lack of right now. Yaxay isn't crap because it has banners, it is crap because of the members and nazi regime. This forum isn't changing at all but we are just finding a suitable means to generate some revenue in order to develop the community further.

It could become bigger without having to spend money, although that takes time.
Also, we're working hard to get yaXay back to it's former state/reputation. But with alot of members complaining it's hard to bring up any motivation to do so, very unappreciative work.
