Old  iNET Interactive Acquired By Private Equity Group

Thought some of your wht/yaxay members would be interested in this, just found a thread posted a few minutes ago on webhostingtalk regarding iNet being purchashed a week ago by a private equity company. I seriously think this could be its downfall, Ryan is no longer the top dog, he's been replaced. Maybe it will be a good thing, all their forums are being upgraded to 3.5 at least! What do you think? I'm wondering if the advertising rates will increase!

yaXay's being on a downward spiral for months now. WHT may or may not go down the same path, i think it depends what change's they make to the community.

As a member & community liaison at WHT, we were all assured no major changes would be implemented.

As it stands, it'd be silly to acquire iNet for several million dollars and then throw that cash away by letting the communities rot away. IMO things will be left pretty much as they are and the new owners will be doing everything they can to keep people happy and interested with their sites.

Hopefully it should make some difference to the communities, in a good way. I aggree with Techno to the point that yaxay has been going down hill. I joined yaxay back in 2002 (i think) and I remember when I first joined it was an amazing community with lots of mature members, and now it seems to be the complete opposite. I suppose we will just have to wait and see what happens next.

It hasn't really been working anyway, perhaps this could be better, or maybe make it get even worse.

wow, I didn't see this one coming. I love their netowrk of websites, their company is kind of the company I wish i could have. I also wonder what pricetag they had.

I don't really use any of their websites for this to affect me, well, I do use hotscripts.

Thanks for letting us know about this one Robson, I might not of seen this news.
