Old  NetScape 8 - Released Today.

I have found my new favourite browser, sleeker appearence than FireFox, and is supposedly safer. But the best feature is it has the ability to switch between firefox/ ie style rendering. I think this is something that WILL catch on to all browsers now... I hope so anyway.

This release of NetScape to me, marks the day when we make a step in the right direction to a unified browser. I can only hope in future this kind of function is developed further so we only need to code for a single browser.

Just makes me wonder when IE is going to come out with the tabs. I'll play with netscape a little later. Looks interesting.

Can't say I'm very fond of the looks. I'll stick with Firefox or Opera I think..!

I like it, I'm going to give it a shot. The ability to change from firefox and IE is awesome and the main feature I want to use this. It's not as fast as firefox but hopefully that wont be too much of a problem.

I hate it! Netscape 7.2 was my default but I don't see this one taking its place. Customizing it is much more complicated, Composer isn't included, and instead of creating something original that can compete with FF and IE they make something that lets you choose a look that copies them. I'm very disappointed myself!

Not including Composer is a good thing IMO.

If they made a browser that rendered a page in yet another way this would be a bad thing as it would be just another browser to design/code for and Netscape would die.

I like the sound of it rendering as IE or FF and if it does it faithfully I think this will help it become a big success as the browser that all sites will work in... visit a site and it's all over the place, switch mode and it's fixed (probably... haven't actually downloaded and tried it yet).
