You couldn't get me to buy a car on payments. It's just not worth it. Of course, I don't have a problem with used vehicles because I'm more concerned with having a car that runs than one I look cool in. I'd like to retire early.

Still, it amazes me that people buy cars upwards of 30-40k and the average income is 45k.

Nice car though.

Thanks everyone! First - used wasn't really an option. I wasn't going to get something I didn't want. Second - the mustang had the best crash test rating OF ANY car I saw of the 3 dealerships I went to, thus having the cheapest insurance for me as well.

You got a car like that with your brand new license?

I would get the first accident behind you on a junker car.

Agreed. Don't see the point of buying such nice speed car with automatic transmission. But, very nice and congrats none the less!

My first car was a BMW 328i Convertible 5 -Speed Manual. Straight out of the dealership brand spanking new, I've never crashed that car or even put a scratch on it. My second year driving, I've sold that 6 months ago. There is nothing wrong with buying a nice car as long as you're responsible and you actually know how to drive.
