Will sex still sell?

You might have heard this month Sex.com domain name was scheduled to go on public auction (with participants not admitted into the room if they didn't show certified check for $1M - a reserve price).

Seriously now, of course names like this will sell, why not, sex sells. All of these sites have one thing in common, tons of people are willing to pay almost anything for them.

Surely its value is whatever someone is willing to pay for it, so we'll see when the auction takes place.

What is the point of getting these domains? No way you'll make your money back.

Sex.com was generating $100 million annually years ago - off type-in traffic alone. Clearly its nowhere near that number today, but if you have serious financing, this can be turned into a high-end resource within that industry.

Sex always sells as long as there is humanity on this earth! It is the ethical part that comes in the way when we try to market sex related products.

We may be waiting awhile for that auction due to the infighting of its current creditors. I predict 16 million when it happens.
