Old  Looking to get back on the horse! A few pointer please :)

Nice and simple, I don't want to write my life story!
(Please excuse my English, it is a second language to me!...)

Droped out of school to go work in Africa. Ended up extending my trip for a pretty long time! (Back then, there was no such thing as CSS3,4,5 etc, etc...)

So i am quite rusty. And I am having lots of trouble getting back on the horse.

So for now i have agreed to DESIGN a small and simple web site for a luthier friend of mine.

Does anyone know some great site for someone to start up from first base again? I am not a complete beginner (being that i remember the basic html and css aspects). But i have completely forgotten hot to use flash, javascript and to integrate menus to a website (and the way i learnt it 3 years ago has probably changed)

So for now i am designing a simplified version of the site. I will send some snippets of code very soon

But if some one could refer me to some good website for some inspiration and good starter points
(With actual and professional methods!)

(And if you know any in french! I would be extra grateful)

I cannot offer much in return being that i suck at web related stuff!
But if you need help translating simple things, texts into french.
(And a little bit in portuguese!)

I would be glad to help out with that!

Cheers!

Probably the best tool to have in your arsenal is www.lynda.com
For a nominal fee, there are literally thousands of guides and tutorials on hundreds of subjects that will help out.
