most of that design is pen tool; i use it all the time (hence the name ) the lines are just a standard scanline pattern. i explained to you how i did it. follow the same procedure for antyhing you want to make a pattern out of.

for brush it's the exact same, only click define brush instead.

simplistic which is not a bad thing, i think the header is a little bold compared to everything else and there's a lot of grey, but its looking cool.
