Perhaps it is a dumb question.. call me stupid then.

But is it possible we get the database that AMAZON has like the directory of books. You can search any books pulished and all the info about those books? It's like a portfolio for books. And i think it will be pricy ?

you could always use the web services api from amazon and search their database, somewhat for free (some usage restrictions).
