Embedding font's is a bad idea...but if you really want to go for it, Microsoft WEFT is your best shot IMO.

Yes, its IE only I think. If you are still interested, there is a good article over at Spoono.com.
Someone has to come up with a better, more accessible way to embed fonts though...

Another way to go, is do a exclusive flash page then you can embed the font directly into the flash program.

Lol, infinitylimit, you don't need to embed a font into Flash...simply use any font in flash and it will display in any browser.
Nickmc, embedding fonts should only be used as a very last resort...if you can use .gif graphics to achieve the same thing, then do so. If you can use a font that is standard and similar to the special font you want, then use the standard font.
An alternative is to use css to use the viewers installed fonts...if your special one is there then it will display properly, and your next favorite and so on...with css you specify which fonts to display and in what order, if the user does not have a font installed it will revert to the next font in the list and so on...eg:
p {font-family: "flip the switch", arial, sans-serif;}
This would display the "flip the switch" font first if a viewer has it installed. Arial would display if the user doesn't have the first font. If the user doesn't have arial then their default sans-serif font would be displayed.
Make sure if you are using css like this, that your site actually does work in the other more standard fonts.

Actually, if the text is dynamic (most used scenario) then you would need to embed the font into the Flash file. If it's static text the embedding is done 'automagically'.

In such a case, consider using the Fahrner Image Replacement...although there are some drawbacks
