I do really like the wealth of content on the site, but for me I find it hard to navigate - a lot of navigational options at once.

But this is not the gallery, so best of luck and keep up the good work - I do appreciate the sizeable task of updating such a large site.

Not the greatest design, but much easier to navigate then v4. So definitely an improvement if you ask me.

Looks better, just maybe lessen the amount of center content on the home page? Just make it like, 10 articles or less?

Otherwise, it's a good design, and nicely placed. Just the landing page seems overly crowded though, I think maybe there's just too much articles there. I don't know... Something isn't right. lol

How so?

I like it overall, although the actual tutorial rows seem a bit on the narrow side now. Definitely an improvement for the best though.

Totally agree, it's an improvement and isn't stuck in the past, better effects and style and easier.

I like it, compared to the last few version (v2,v3,v4) it is a great improvement with loads of nice new features. I know i went to visit it to find a tutorial on c++ and it was down for updating for like 2 days that i know of, was mad but was also thinking that it better be really good.

I don't understand how you can compare a well known website like the BBC (who will have plenty of designers and programmers that work for them) to a relatively small (in context) tutorial website.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion though.
