Jordan is on a distinguished road

Yes, Salathe and VG were great as leaders, but they were the first people I spoke with privately when I came in and it was clear they needed more time for themselves to work on other things in life. I respected their choices, even though I really wanted them on board. I am confident, though, that we are moving in the right direction to building a new awesome team.
I'm going to be a Debbie Downer here and just come straight out and say I am not Dear anything to you. You have not approached others with "Dear [User]" so please don't take advantage of my sex to belittle me in a condescending tone.

In regards to your actual comment: Why reply to me? I wasn't the user that initially suggested you utilize a public poll--That was Fez's idea. You even replied to him about it already, so why rehash to me? I didn't say "Hey Artashes, I agree, you should do a public poll!!2!"

My reply was specifically towards Dan saying that it wasn't the best of ideas. I merely said it wasn't that bad as we had some awesome new mods (Village and Spencer) and of course had in-active mods. I then just stated that the worst mod had been Vizon (that I can recall) and as far as I can remember, he was not added in via a public poll. Which I was just proving to Dan that a public poll isn't the worst that's happened here when it comes to mods.

He has been nothing but professional and polite in the responses I've seen and I highly doubt his intention was to degrade you as a women... Using you're sex and taking his "dear" out of context is just not cool...

Read on Jordan...
"The salutation "Dear" in combination with a name or a title is by far the most commonly used salutation in both British and American English, in both formal and informal correspondence."

Also do you always give bad rep for people voicing their opinion when it's not even directed at you?

What's said, was said. If Jordan chose to see it as a condescending tone then that's how she saw it. She does make a fair point though, Artashes doesn't go around starting posts with "Dear <name>" and (this may be my own mis-reading coming into play) his post provoked the same reaction in myself; I'm neither female, nor Jordan and certainly shouldn't be giving two hoots about how one person addresses another individually.

Let's chalk that one up to the subtleties of a text-based communication medium and move along.

How do the moderators feel they're settling in? Got the hang of trawling through the crap, making decisions, have you found the line yet?

After a month of not even logging in Artashes (and I) decided that it is no longer fit for him to be moderator.

All the other moderators are doing a great job

Ps. Please do not make this an argument!

Why break the habit of a lifetime? I admired his enthusiasm though, it's a real shame it ended in style over substance. However, it's great to hear that the rest of the staff are being stars.
