  Old  Newsletters

Hey people.

Ok, I have just put a script onto my main page to allow people to sign up to a newsletter that I am in the middle of producing. Simple HTML page with all of the links, text and pictures etc on there.

I was just going to use outlook to send it out, but I can not figure out how to send this HTML newsletter.

I would prefer to be able to create my own newsletters each week/month in HTML and then mail them out to all of my contacts. Is there any way I can do this?

I don't mind downloading an offline client that will allow me to paste in my HTML code or something of that nature, and for it then to distribute this to the masses.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm preety sure you can include this don't now how, to send to different emails just put a ; between each address (though you proably knew that already).

JUst though: i think you may be able to import html docs and then send. Check this though i'm not sure

Well, I found a great online subscription solution over at campaigner.com which is really good.

Unfortunately, I do not have the money to be able to pay for that at present, so must look for an alternative.

hmm I'm using the danish version of outlook so giving the complete path will be a bit hard. You just need to load the design in as a template. in preferences, and postformat/emailformat you should be able to find it there.

Ah that is not a bad idea.

I will give it a go and see if it works.

Make sure if you have any images in the email newsletter, that the images are linked to on a public webserver, not just pasted into the document in Word or something.

No, they are all linked directly to my site.

I made a test one last night and sent it to myself. Worked well, but I will need to look into it a little more.

I use OpenNewsletter 2.4.3 and I've found it to be very reliable. It's completely webbased so no need to need to be home to send the emails out. Wherever you have access to a computer with internet on it, you can send a newletter. Users can delete themselves from the bottom of the email via an unsubscribe link. Here's a link:

http://www.selfexile.com/category/my...pennewsletter/

If that doen't suit you, I also use another one. Let me know.
