  Old  Computer shut downs

Hi guys,

ive had a problem with my current computer for agggess somtimes it will just randomly shut down but just like ive pulled the cable out and then i have to turn it off and on at the wall to make it work again! Also somtimes during start-up i get a dark blue screen which triggers my computer to restart and then it goes in a loop.

i wondered if you guy have had the same problems and/or know how to help me.

thanks!

I had that same problem a few years ago. Cannot remember exactly what it was, but it was so far gone that it made more sense to buy a brand new computer rather than try to fix the old one.

Random shut downs sound like your computer is overheating, might try getting better fans or other cooling devices..

You mean every time you restart after it randomly shuts down (from the overheating?).If that's the case then I'm sure this will be resolved when you fix the overheating.

Yeah the Blue Screen of Death is techniqually just a nickname, though it's so well used it may as well be official. It basically shows when there's a fatal error on the system.
