ATI has agreed to pay AMD a termination fee of $162 million if it backs out.
The deal will go as long as it isn't blocked by the feds. And I think the antitrust restrictions that will be put in place will insure a decent amount of competion, that and AMD wouldn't want to lose ATIs marketshare.
