Agreed.

Plus they have their desktop applications with their Forceware drivers. Such as digital sharpening or digital vibrance options which really helps improve graphics and colours for gaming, at no cost for performance at all.

I have read a few times that their latest forceware which came out not too long ago caused a slight drop in FPS.

Grab the Geforce 6600 256MB Card, it will play every game currently out and performs well It should be under £100 now.

6600GT of corse. And then OC using stock cooling. It is a very good budget card.

hmmm is the 6800GS any good ?

im rather reluctant to move from ati as i like to play halflife 2 games which are optimised for ati.

Actually, the 6800GS outperformed the 6800GT. But, make sure you have about 2 gigs of ram so you can get the best performance out of all your games. It is quite possible to get 70fps with the right set-up on Battlefield 2. And plus it has higher clock speeds.

I have a 6600GT, 1Gb of ram and a 64bit 3500mhz...I get 90fps on battlefield2, 100 on CS:Source and 450 on CS 1.6.
