I have a site that deals with health.
I wanted to open a blog for it, and I wanted to ask you if you think it will be useful to open a blog for this kind of website, will it be useful? will it drive me more traffic?

I think it is a better idea because, genuine internet traffic is very important and you will get them when you have something to offer them, may be in terms of content or promotions etc. The best and reliable way to get them is by offering some useful and healthy content on your site which can be done by creating a blog in sub-domain of your website.
