They would go ahead and create a PayPal account, and pay via their credit card. The credit card info will be encoded and securely stored at PayPal's servers till the next time he needs to make a purchase. In the meanwhile they're gonna spam him asking to upgrade his account to personal, then premium etc. but he doesn't have to do it

Best of luck,

No they don't need to be a PayPal member to pay credit card.

There's no setup for credit card payments via PayPal. To accept credit card via PayPal, all you need to upgrade your account to "Premier" or "Business" instead "Personal". Personal cannot receive credit card funds. I suggust you read 'HELP' area - its very easy to read!

If you have a Premier or Business account, use the Request Money thing, he should be able to pay with his credit card that way without having to register a Paypal account.
