I don't see how Gatorade is better than water except for making digestion easier. Isn't your body supposed to produce and extract all the good minerals you need by itself?

I've just had a silly thought, does this mean that he was in a bowl of water filled with his urine and as well as water for 7 days?

Well Gatorade has calories which he would need to live off of for 7 days, not to mention vitamins, eletrolys (sp?) and a few other things water doesn't offer.
I think they mainly used it though because of the calories ans sugar.

Well, yeah. Not effectively thought .
Rosem's right, it has all the extras that water doesn't have (mainly electrolytes).
