  Old  2GB Memory Limit??

Hey, I've got a general computer question. From someone, somewhere I got the notion that Windows only allows a PC to access up to 2GB of memory.

Does anyone know if this is true or close to true?

I'm willing to believe this because I had 4GB of RAM and at times of rendering or even photoshop XP would say I've reach memory limit.

Any ideas?

well from the following link, it says 4GB.

That's talking for Servers so I'm not sure if it applies to PCs. I haven't read it out, I'm in class, bored more than anything else.

Try increasing the ammount of memeory Those programs use. They have it in thier settings. It might be your video card.

Edit: Yes its possible 4g of memory. From what i have heard. 2g is more then enough!!
