Some CSS problems.

246 + 370 = 616 not 626, increase one of them by 10px.

About 1-2px of your footer on the left is a shadow therefore you will need to add a margin-left: of approx 1px to #left-content.

I did what you said but now the right content box is messed up and the whole layout doesnt fit together in IE.

You did not compensate for the 4px taken up by the borders. Either get rid of the borders or -4 from one of them. It should fit.
