Wordpress Help? Trying to figure out post templates..

I have my site going up and I am trying to figure out some things..

How do you add templates to posts like for my site I am trying to offer resources while also having a portfolio. So for some of my resources I want the posting page to act differently the normal blog posts.

I have installed the Flutter Plugin which let's me customize the content (it's like an easier more organized version of custom fields with a file upload, includes that I can use for a template etc).

I've got no idea how I can make it work though.

And you click "Easy Templating" it shows a new video which shows exactly what I'm trying to do yet I can't figure it out. I've googled, looked for plugins, tutorials, anything and can't find a single article on doing that?
