Old  Is Internet Marketing Worth It For Single Freelancers?

If you advertise with google adwords, or microsoft adcenter, or sem, you can only handle so many jobs at one time. Did anyone have any success with marketing their freelance services on the web?

Can you give me more of an insight. How much money did you spend? Was your website at the end of the link well designed? How many impressions did you get?

I have a client--a solo practitioner--who does very well with google adwords, etc. But he has a very specific niche and goes after a subset of that group.

I imagine the problem with using these systems if you are a web designer/programmer/etc is that it seems such a logical thing to do--and it takes so little energy from you to do it--so the programs are flooded with people just like you. The unsavy consumer (as I imagine the bulk of potential responders would be) the has no way to differentiate between you and anybody else.

I think you're a bit confused with your definition of "internet marketing". Perhaps you mean "online advertising"

I offer both products and services within the freelance industry, working both as a web designer AND internet marketer.
